A championship game over a month in the making comes down to a pitched battle. Thylar Summarell pitches a complete game 12 strikeout performance to lead the Storm 16U team to their first Perfect Game Championship. Thylar added a triple to help the Storm beat the NJ Panthers 3-2. Execution on key plays was the key to this close victory and a complete team effort provided an insurance run to give Summerall a 2 run lead going into the bottom of the 7th. A suicide squeeze by Tyler Whitten put the Storm up for good as the Panthers could only plate 1 run in the bottom of the 7th.
